Auto Forwarding Emails

Rainmail Server allows user emails to be forwarded to a different Email address automatically. This section show how an user can forward emails.

  1. Open Rainmail Server home page. That will show the links as below

  1. In some cases, Rainmail Administrator could have changed the home page and disabled the forward link. In this case, please contact your Rainmail Administrator to forward emails.
  2. Click on Set Mail forwarding/auto responder rules. That will bring up the following page.

  1. In the above page
    • Enter user part of Email address in User name: edit field.
    • Enter user password in Current Password: edit field.
    • In the Forward to: field, enter the email address to which the emails should be forwarded to. If email needs to be forwarded to multiple addresses, separate the email addresses using spaces (e.g., it@hotmail.com it@yahoo.com).
    • To keep a copy of forwarded emails in user Inbox, check Keep a copy of the mail on the server.
    • If Keep a copy of the mail on the server is not checked, emails will only get forwarded and will not be available in Rainmail Server.
    • Click on Change button.
  2. If forwarding is set successfully, the following dialog will appear.

  1. Once set, emails will automatically be forwarded to the email address(es) specified.
